Problem
Woody’s Lodge is a communications and social hub for veterans of the armed forces and emergency services, along with their families. They provide safe spaces for armed service veterans, recent leavers, reservists and those who served in the emergency services to socialise and access a wide range of health and social services across Wales.
However, they had a limited digital presence, with an outdated, unresponsive website that wasn’t raising awareness of their amazing services and definitely wasn’t reaching their audience. In addition, they weren’t sure where they should even begin with differentiating themselves from other charities in the veteran sphere.
Solution
In order to engage with their target demographic, we saw that Woody’s Lodge needed a complete overhaul of their online marketing strategy, including everything from website design & development to their search strategy and implementation.
Using data-driven research, we began by undertaking thorough UX research to develop personas, identifying key components that were essential to the recipients of Woody’s Lodge services. We built a brand-new strategy for their entire digital presence from search to social, CRM to content.
Once the initial Online Marketing Strategy work was completed and their new website was designed and built, we have managed their SEO and Content in order to keep their digital presence relevant and optimised.
Result
One year on, traffic to the beautiful new Woody’s Lodge website is thriving, with over 17,000 unique page views in their first year, they are now expanding their services across Wales and are currently preparing their third permanent location! Due to their brand-new online marketing strategy, they are attracting on average almost 500 NEW visitors each month and have maintained an average bounce rate of only 36%!
In addition, Woody’s Lodge has been able to use their website to document the impact their services have had on their service-users, allowing them to successfully receive almost £450,000 in funding to deliver and develop their services even further.
